This final point of the holy triangle
comprising Kunjapuri and Surkhandadevi is
the centre of a fair, perked up by
religious programmes, cultural performances and bubbling celebrations
in the month of April. Like Kunjapuri and Surkhandadevi, Chandrabadni
temple (2756 meters) is a place of high spiritual significance.
You can reach Chandrabadni via two motorable routes. |

EXCURSIONS
DEOPRAYAG : 30 kms., where
the tranquil Alaknanda embraces the tempestuous Bhagirathi. It is here
that the Ganga is truly born.
ACCESSIBILITY
| Route No.1 : From Kandikhal enroute
Srinagar-Tehri. From here the Chandrabadni temple is an 8 kms.

Route No. 2: You can also come from
Jurana via Jamnikhal enroute Deoprayag-Tehri. Further there is a link road
upto Nekhari (8 kms.) and then a bridle path (2 kms.) leading to
the temple. Regular bus and taxi services are available at Srinagar, Deoprayag
and Tehri to reach Jamnikhal and Kandikhal comfortably. |
Accommodation
Nearby villages of Nekhari and Kandikhal
offer decent accommodation apart from the Chandrabadni Tourist Lodge. A
small dharmshala can be engaged for overnight stay.
