Equipment and safety

Special inflatable 16 - 22 ft rafts
which are compartmentalised and unsinkable. They are manoeuvred by an oar
/ paddle combination.

Minimum age for participation is 14
years. Younger childern are allowed on certain sections of the rivers with
safety being the priority.

All members get full safety gear
- U.S. coast guard approved life-jackets, helmets, water proof dry
bags & camping gear. Complete safety briefing to all the members at
the start of the trip. All trips can be made by beginners unless otherwise
indicated.
Rapid grading :
-
Class 1 : Easy moving water, small waves,
on obstacles.

Class 2: Moderate difficulty,
with clear passage.

Class 3: Difficult, high irregular
waves, narrow clear passage, require precise manoeuvring.

Class 4: Very difficult long rapid,
powerful irregular waves and hydraulics, require precise manoeuvring.

Class 5: Extremely difficult,
long violent and highly congested rapid. For team of experts only.
