Permits for Mountaineering

Indian Tourists need no permission
for mountaineering in any area outside the inner line. For routes
inside the inner line, the local District Magistrate’s
permission, or that of the Union Home Ministry is necessary in advance. |
Peak booking fees, Inner line &
rested items, import of equipment, camera permits, insurance, medical attention
and evacution procedures have been laid down in detail by the Indian Mountaineering
Foundation, Delhi for Expeditions.
